- Binance. The number one platform by trading volume and user count, Binance boasts affordable trading fees, advanced trading options (including P2P marketplace), and 500+ coins and tokens.

Did you know?
All Crypto Exchanges may look similar to you but they're NOT all the same!
Who's FameEX For?
First things first – what kind of user would benefit from this exchange? Normally, you’d have to read the entire review first to figure out if you’re part of the target audience this platform is trying to reach. Lucky for you, we’re going to do things my way – with a shortcut!
Its flexibility and wide range of features allow FameEX to aim for a broader demographic of users. Here’s how this platform caters to the following user groups:
- Beginners. FameEX’s clean and intuitive interface makes it easy to figure out how the platform works. Its detailed knowledge base provides enough guidance even for inexperienced users.
- Intermediate traders. More seasoned investors will appreciate the platform’s wide array of different trading options and order types.
- Active traders. FameEX encourages active participation with numerous rewards and incentives for completing tasks or participating in community events. Investors with high trading volume can enjoy reduced trading fees.
In short, no matter what stage of your crypto trading journey you're at right now, chances are FameEX has something to offer.
Advantages
After giving FameEX a thorough trial run, I found that it has quite a lot going for it. Here are the key benefits that stood out to me:
- Intuitive user interface;
- Diverse trading options;
- Numerous reward incentives.
One of the first things you’ll notice about FameEX is its intuitive and user-friendly design. You can choose between the Light and Dark mode and use the platform in 8 other languages besides English. FameEX also has a mobile app for both iOS and Android.
More adventurous crypto enthusiasts will be happy to discover that FameEX suppports several types of trading options. Aside from spot trading, there’s margin trading with up to 3x leverage, grid trading, futures trading with perpetual contracts, and futures copy trading.
Last but not least, FameEX strives to increase user retention with frequent reward schemes. New users can earn crypto by completing basic “getting started” type of tasks like placing a spot trading order, or enter a lottery to win cash prizes. On top of that, there are generous referral and affiliate programs.
Limitations
Unfortunately, there are more than a few areas where FameEX failed to meet my expectations. Here are the weakest points I’ll discuss throughout this FameEX review:
- Limited cryptocurrency selection;
- No crypto conversion or staking;
- Geographical restrictions;
- Negative user feedback.
FameEX's cryptocurrency selection definitely leaves something to be desired. For spot trading, there are only 194 available assets. The choice is even more limited for margin trading, which has only one trading pair. All the trading pairs are either with USDT or TUSD.
Another limitation I feel compelled to mention here is the lack of conversion. Unlike most other major exchanges, FameEX doesn’t offer the option of converting one coin or token to another. The only ways you can get crypto here are by trading or buying it directly.
Unfortunately, there’s no staking, either. Despite numerous reward incentives, FameEX doesn’t include this popular method of earning passive income off your crypto.
FameEX is prohibited or otherwise unavailable in a number of countries, including the United States. There are a few countries, like the United Kingdom and Hong Kong, where the platform operates with restricted functionality.
Finally, this exchange has a concerning number of negative user reviews, especially ones pertaining to its reliability and security issues. Many people have aired their grievances about FameEX's inadequate customer support and troubles with withdrawing their funds.
Trading Tools
Now that you’ve seen the big picture, it’s time to unpack the details – starting with the main trading features. These are the trading options you’ll find on this platform:
- Spot trading with 194 cryptocurrencies;
- Margin trading with up to 3x leverage;
- Manual and AI-assisted grid trading;
- Perpetual contracts with copy trading;
- Trial funds for futures trading.
When it comes to the most basic type of trading, FameEX supports 194 cryptocurrencies and two order types: market and limit. This asset selection feels pretty meager compared to the most popular exchanges, but the list still contains most of the popular mainstream coins, including BTC, ETH, SOL, LTC, and DOT.
More experienced and risk-tolerant traders can opt for margin trading instead. They'll have to make do with Bitcoin, however, since the only available market is BTC/USDT. The amount of leverage is quite low (only 3x), and there’s no cross-margin option, either.
Grid trading is another nice perk for pro investors eager to optimize their chances. This strategy involves placing automatic buy and sell orders at regular intervals within a certain range of price to exploit market fluctuations.[1] FameEX lets you set your own parameters or utilize the AI option that automatically creates an optimal setup for you.
If futures trading is your cup of tea, FameEX offers 30 perpetual contracts with a choice between cross or isolated margin and up to 20x leverage. The funding fees are settled every 8 hours. Additionally, there’s an option for copy trading.
One of the platform’s selling features is trial funds – an opportunity to get into futures trading without having to invest your own funds. FameEX has two types of trial funds:
- One-Time Coupon: Can only be used to open a position once and will be automatically reclaimed by the system after the position is closed or expired.
- Reusable Coupon: Can be used to open positions multiple times until the system automatically reclaims them after expiration or incurred losses.
You can only use these funds for isolated margin positions, and the profits gained with them can’t be withdrawn, only used to offset futures trading fees. Still, it’s definitely a useful set of training wheels for traders looking to learn the ropes without putting their own money on the line.
Fees and Limits
It’s time for the million-dollar question: how much does it cost to use FameEX? Here’s what types of fees you can expect on this platform:
Type | Fees | Limits |
---|---|---|
Withdrawal | Vary depending on the asset and network | Determined by the authentication level (starting from 5,000 USDT) |
Deposit | Free | Unlimited |
Spot trading | 0.1% maker/taker fee | Determined by the authentication level |
Margin trading | 0.0021% | Determined by the authentication level |
Perpetual contracts | 0.02% maker, 0.06% taker fee | Determined by the authentication level |
Table: FameEX fees
As on most other exchanges, deposits are completely free, while withdrawal fees vary by the asset and network conditions. For example, as of writing this, withdrawing USDT built on the ERC-20 standard costs 6 USDT, and the minimum amount you can withdraw is 100 USDT. The exchange itself doesn’t charge any additional fees for withdrawals, though. For VIP 0 tier users, the daily withdrawal limit is 5,000 USDT.
Trading fees are determined by your 30-day trading volume. Spot trading fees start at 0.1% for both makers and takers and go all the way down to 0% for makers on VIP 7 (who’ve traded at least 200 million USDT in 30 days) and 0.01% for takers on VIP 9 (whose 30-day trading volume is equal to or over 1 billion USDT).
For futures trading, makers and takers on VIP 0 are charged 0.02% and 0.06%, respectively, while the cheapest fees mirror those for spot trading – 0% and 0.01% for makers and takers on VIP 7 and VIP 9.
In contrast, margin trading fees don’t follow the VIP tier system. Instead, there’s a flat interest rate of 0.0021%.
User Experience
One of the first things I noticed during the first-hand research stage for my FameEX review was its streamlined and intuitive interface. The exchange saw a major overhaul in late 2024, and you can definitely notice an improvement in design cohesion and a generally more polished look.
Even the trading platform view, which can easily look cluttered due to containing so much data in a limited screen estate, feels simple and easy to follow on FameEX.
That said, it does come at the expense of customizability – for example, there’s no option to reorganize the panels or change the number formatting. You can switch between Light and Dark mode, though, and 8 other languages besides English, which is quite a generous nod to the FameEX global userbase. The platform has a mobile app for iOS and Android.
When it comes to efficiency, the FameEX exchange doesn’t look too bad, either. With a daily trading volume of over $13 billion, the platform’s liquidity is high enough to provide a decent trading experience for an average user. FameEX also boasts a “third-generation Turbo Memory Matching System” that can handle up to 1 million transactions per second.
Security
The above-mentioned features are all well and good, you might say – but is FameEX safe enough to trust your crypto with? Thoroughly examining the platform and investigating its claims has left me with a mixed picture. To start on a bright note, FameEX has all the standard security measures like KYC, 2FA with Google Authenticator, and wallet address whitelisting.
The platform also helps you avoid phishing scams by letting you check its social media channels on the verification page and see if they’re legit. What’s more, FameEX utilizes four-layer encryption that’s meant to protect your funds both on- and off-chain.
This is where the benefits ends, however; the rest of the picture looks significantly less rosy. For one thing, FameEX hasn’t undergone any security audits. Some of the major crypto data aggregators rate the platform’s user trust score at a pretty low level, which isn’t exactly a ringing endorsement. Reading other users' FameEX reviews, it didn't escape my attention that more than a few mentioned various other security issues, too.
Customer Support
In the perfect world, none of us would ever need customer support – but, sadly, in the world we’ve got, it’s often unavoidable! Writing this review had me explore the platform’s customer support up close and flick through other users’ FameEX reviews, as well. Once again, my overall impression was somewhat ambivalent.
FameEX has no phone support, but it does offer a compartmentalized email support system with three separate addresses for bug reports, business inquiries, and regular customer support. You can also submit a feedback form or use the live chat.
FameEX has 10 social media channels – about twice as many as you’d find on your average crypto exchange. Aside from X (formerly Twitter), Telegram, and Discord, which constitute the bare minimum package in this day and age, you can also reach it on YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Medium, and even Bitcointalk.org, the OG crypto forum founded by the Bitcoin creator Satoshi Nakamoto himself.
Another thing I could commend FameEX for is its comprehensive and well-organized FAQ and knowledge base, and an actively maintained announcement page. The latter was particularly useful for those confused about the ongoing design overhaul and migration to the new domain. Not every exchange takes such a proactive stance on communicating with users, but FameEX is definitely a model example here.
Having said that, when push comes to shove, FameEX's track record with actually helping customers resolve their issues doesn't look all that stellar, if the plethora of negative customer reviews is any indication.
Localization and Regional Adaptability
Even the best exchange would be of no use to you if you couldn’t access it in your country, right? This is where geographical restrictions come into the picture. Turns out that the FameEX global reach is somewhat limited. You won’t be able to use the platform or some of its features if you live in one of these countries:
Unavailable | The United States, Canada, the Netherlands, Malta, Cuba, Syria, Iran, North Korea, Bangladesh, Malaysia, Bolivia, Crimea, Donetsk, Lugansk |
Restricted Functionality | The United Kingdom (retail users are restricted), Hong Kong (derivatives trading is restricted) |
Table: A list of countries where FameEX services are unavailable or restricted
As I mentioned earlier, FameEX caters to an international audience by offering multilingual support. You can use the platform in 8 other languages besides English:
- Traditional Chinese
- Simplified Chinese
- Portuguese
- Turkish
- Korean
- Russian
- Spanish
- Vietnamese
Once again, however, there’s a snag at play here: while doing research for this FameEX review, I discovered some ambiguity with the company’s licensing and adherence to regulations.
According to the official website, FameEX is regulated by several authorities across a number of countries (including the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) and the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC)). However, some other reliable sources state that they’re not licensed at all, and I was unable to find any proof one way or another.
Bonuses and Special Offers
What user doesn’t love getting free crypto? If you, too, get a burst of motivation at a chance of winning a reward, FameEX could definitely be the right exchange for you! To begin with, it has three types of continuous rewards initiatives: the affiliate program, referrals, and a Welcome Bonus.
The affiliate program is aimed at users who meet one of the following eligibility criteria:
- Have a social media account with more than 5,000 followers;
- Have a community with more than 500 members;
- Have a self-built website and platform.
If you’re in this picture (and you like it), all you need to do is fill out the application form. Once you're accepted, you’ll get a unique referral link you can share with your followers.
Then there’s the referral program – a standard bonus many other exchanges have, too. On FameEX, the referrer is awarded 38,888 PEPE, while the referee gets 2,888 PEPE upon completing KYC verification. Unlike most other exchanges, however, FameEX doesn’t offer any commission off trading fees – this is a one-off bonus.
Aside from the affiliate system and referrals, FameEX treats its users to regular deals and challenges to win free crypto. For example, as of writing, there's a $1,000 cash bonus available for signing up and completing newbie tasks.
How to Use FameEX
Now that you know what to expect from this exchange, let’s switch to the practical part of my FameEX review. I’m going to show you how to sign up and move your crypto in or out of the platform.
How to Create a FameEX Account
FameEX features a pretty typical account creation process for a CEX – nothing out of the ordinary. Nevertheless, let me walk you through it with this simple guide:
That’s it! You can now start using the exchange.
How to Deposit on FameEX
If you haven’t completed KYC yet, the only way to get crypto on FameEX is by trading – for which you’ll first have to deposit some crypto, of course! Let me show you how:

Comparison to Other Popular Exchanges
Now, as I promised, it’s time to whip out the measuring tape! Let’s see how FameEX stacks up against 3 of the most famous household names in the crypto scene: Binance, Kraken, and Bybit. This section isn’t just there to add some more bulk to this FameEX review – a comparative analysis is one of the most reliable ways to see where the platform falls on the spectrum of industry standards.
FameEX VS Binance
With over 250 million users and a 24-hour spot trading volume of $33.3 billion, Binance often sweeps the first place on the “Best crypto exchange” lists. Launched in 2017, It now has 600+ cryptocurrencies and 1500+ trading pairs, compared to which the FameEX crypto selection definitely leaves something to be desired.
Investors who prefer trading with fiat will find a better fit with Binance, as well. There’s a selection of 11 fiat currencies for spot trading.
Binance offers all of the same trading types as FameEX, with the addition of P2P and regular copy trading. It also has six types of trading bots and an option to convert one cryptocurrency to another. Binance’s leverage options for margin trading are higher than FameEX’s, too: up to 10x compared to 3x, respectively.
Binance spot trading fees are exactly the same as FameEX’s for non-VIP users: 0.1% for both makers and takers. However, BNB token holders get a 25% discount. Plus, you can decrease the fees by increasing your VIP level.
Finally, Binance edges FameEX out when it comes to earning options, too. Aside from the Welcome bonus and referrals, Binance includes staking. You can choose between 20 assets, many of which have both flexible and locked duration and APR that ranges up to a staggering 270% for some coins like SOL.

FameEX VS Kraken
Launched in 2013, Kraken is one of the oldest and most established crypto exchanges. It has 10+ million users in more than 190 countries – including the US, which often gets the short end of the stick when it comes to exchange availability due to strict regulations.[2] This platform is famous for its user-friendly design that hides some of the more advanced and potentially confusing features in the Pro mode.
Kraken supports 325 cryptocurrencies and several types of trading: spot, margin (with up to 5x leverage), futures (with 300+ perpetual contracts), and OTC (over-the-counter) trading. You’ll also find the option of buying crypto with your credit/debit card or converting one coin to another.
This platform offers flexible staking with no lock-up period and weekly earnings. You can choose between 22 cryptocurrencies and earn between 1% and 11% APR. For more experienced users, there’s Pro staking with an option to earn up to 8% APR on ETH.
Kraken has a 0.25% maker and 0.40% taker fee for users with a 30-day trading volume between $0 and $10,000. The highest VIP tier makers can enjoy spot trading completely free of charge, though, while the taker fee for that tier is 0.10%.

FameEX VS Bybit
Let’s meet another standout CEX. Launched in 2018, Bybit boasts over 10 million users across 160 countries (unfortunately, just like FameEX, its services don’t extend to the US). Bybit offers 1,870+ cryptocurrencies and several fiat currencies, which is way more than you’ll find on FameEX.
Bybit has spot, margin, futures, and options trading, as well as copy trading, demo trading, and trading bots – a significantly broader selection than FameEX’s. There’s also an option to convert one asset to another or buy crypto with your credit and debit card.
Unlike FameEX, Bybit offers not only a centralized crypto exchange but an entire ecosystem consisting of a DEX, a Web3 wallet, Bybit Card, and more.
Bybit features a variety of earning options, such as Bybit Savings (a staking program), yield farming with liquidity pools, and other strategies.
As for trading fees, Bybit’s spot trading for VIP 0 users costs 0.1% for both makers and takers (same as on FameEX), while the perpetual contract trading fees are 0.0550% for takers and 0.0200% for makers - slightly cheaper than FameEX.

Conclusions: Is FameEX Right for You?
Hopefully, reading this FameEX review gave you a comprehensive picture of this exchange. As you can see, it has several advantages for both beginners and experienced traders: an intuitive interface, multiple trading types, and tons of reward initiatives for active users.
Unfortunately, FameEX does fall woefully short in other areas. For one thing, its crypto selection is pretty narrow at 194 and is even more limited for futures and margin trading. There are no cross-crypto trading pairs except for USDT and TUSD, and no fiat currency trading option, either. Plus, it has quite a lot of negative user reviews.
