Established in 2011, BTCC has been around longer than most platforms in the space. The exchange supports spot and futures markets, alongside copy trading, demo trading, and TradFi instruments, including metals, energy commodities, global indices, forex pairs, and company stocks.
The BTCC crypto exchange is available across more than 100 countries, including markets like the US and Canada. The exchange also holds regulatory registrations with FinCEN in the US, FINTRAC in Canada, and the Tax Administration Chamber in Katowice, Poland.
BTCC provides access to more than 300 crypto assets. The exchange earned recognition as the Best Centralized Exchange (Community Choice) at the BeInCrypto 100 Awards 2025. It’s accessible through both desktop and mobile platforms.
Markets
BTCC's spot market offers 370+ trading pairs, primarily crypto-to-crypto listings. The platform also features a simple crypto conversion tool supporting over 200 coins, allowing instant swaps without navigating the full trading interface.
For derivatives, BTCC provides USDT-margined (USDT-M) and Coin-margined (Coin-M) perpetual futures, with over 380 contract options and leverage of up to 250x on select assets including BTC, ETH, DOGE, SOL, and XRP.
Spot trading fees are set at a flat 0.200% maker / 0.300% taker rate. Futures trading is more cost-efficient, starting at 0.020% maker / 0.060% taker, with further reductions available through BTCC's VIP program (up to 0.010%/0.015% for VIP 7 users).
BTCC also offers copy trading, allowing users to replicate the strategies of experienced lead traders. Followers pay a profit-sharing commission of 10–15% only on profitable trades, while lead traders earn fair compensation for their expertise.
Beyond crypto, BTCC's TradFi section provides access to 25 instruments across 5 traditional asset classes
- Precious metals: Gold (XAU/USD), silver (XAG/USD), platinum (XPT/USD), palladium (XPD/USD), and aluminum (XAL/USD);
- Energy commodities: Brent crude oil (UKOIL) and WTI crude oil (USOIL);
- Global indices: Dow Jones (DJ30), NASDAQ 100 (TECH100), S&P 500 (SP500), DAX (GER30), and FTSE (UK100);

All TradFi contracts are settled in USDT, keeping portfolio management straightforward.
Other Services
BTCC Earn offers passive earning options for users who want to generate returns on idle assets. The available products are primarily USDT-based, with yields varying by product type — from flexible savings to higher-APR promotional offers.
BTCC regularly runs campaigns for both new and existing users. New users can earn up to 30,000 USDT in rewards by completing tasks like signing up, verifying their account, or making a first deposit. The platform's affiliate program allows users to earn up to 45% in commissions and 10,000 USDT in rebates per referral.
About the Company
BTCC traces its origins back to 2011 when Bobby Lee, Yang Linke, and Huang Xiaoyu launched it as a part-time project. The company was later incorporated in 2013 as BTC China, operating from Shanghai with a team of around 20 people.
In November 2013, BTCC became the world’s largest Bitcoin exchange by volume. The company also received a $5 million Series A investment that month from Lightspeed China Partners and Lightspeed Venture Partners.
Following the 2017 crypto regulatory crackdown in China, BTCC ended its domestic trading business and was acquired by a Hong Kong-based investment firm. Dan Liu took over as CEO in May 2025, overseeing a platform with 11 million registered users across over 100 countries.
Over the years, BTCC has earned multiple industry recognitions. These include being named Best Centralized Exchange (Community Choice) at the BeInCrypto 100 Awards 2025 and receiving the Most Secure Digital Asset Exchange award from Pan Finance.
The platform has been growing its mainstream presence with some fairly recognizable partnerships. BTCC became an official regional partner of the Argentine Football Association ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup and also signed Jaren Jackson Jr., the 2023 NBA Defensive Player of the Year, as its global ambassador.
