Who's WEEX For?
Right now, you're probably thinking – is this WEEX review for me? There are tons of crypto exchanges out there, and not all are equally suited for every user group. Worry not! I'll save you some time by tipping you off in advance. I recommend giving the WEEX crypto exchange a try if you belong to any of these crypto trader demographics:
- Beginners. WEEX features a streamlined and user-friendly interface alongside an extensive knowledge base and plenty of discount deals and challenges to motivate newbie traders. Plus, it offers demo and copy trading.
- Privacy-conscious traders. WEEX is a great option for privacy-conscious traders thanks to its optional KYC, allowing trading and up to 10,000 USDT daily withdrawals without identity verification.
- Advanced traders. WEEX crypto selection will appeal to connoisseurs who find most other exchanges lacking for their taste, while the futures trading option with cross margin and up to 400x leverage is well-suited for pros.
As you can see, this exchange casts quite a wide net, trying to cater to many types of users. Whichever category you fall into, chances are you'll find something on WEEX to make you stay.

Did you know?
All Crypto Exchanges may look similar to you but they're NOT all the same!
Advantages
Let's start with the bright side. As I've been implying, WEEX boasts quite a few selling points. I'll delve deeper into each of those in the following sections of this WEEX review, but for now, here's a quick summary of what makes this exchange stand out in my opinion:
- User-friendly interface;
- Massive cryptocurrency selection;
- Trading modes great for newbies;
- Multiple reward programs;
- WXT holder benefits.
A streamlined and intuitive interface is one of the most obvious features a crypto exchange can implement to attract new users and make them stay, and WEEX definitely understood the assignment. You'll have no trouble discovering and accessing the platform's main features, and international users will be able to use other languages and fiat currencies for displaying the prices.
Cryptocurrency selection is another one of WEEX's strong suits. Unlike most other exchanges that only offer 100-300 assets, this platform knocks it out of the park with a staggering 1,000+ cryptocurrencies and 3,000+ spot trading pairs. No matter how niche your trading preferences are, you'll probably find what you're looking for.
WEEX offers not only spot and futures trading (a standard package for most exchanges today) but also demo trading and copy trading, which are often harder to find among less mainstream trading platforms. Demo futures trading mode gives you virtual funds to open positions on perpetual contracts, while copy trading lets you emulate the moves of the most successful Elite traders on the platform.
On top of that, WEEX excels at another quintessential characteristic of a successful crypto exchange – reward programs. Aside from referrals, which most other exchanges have, too, you'll find a hefty welcome bonus, a complex referral program, a VIP club, daily crypto lotteries, and plenty of other events and opportunities to win free crypto or get fee discounts.
Speaking of which, WEEX token (WXT) holders get a lot of benefits, including free crypto airdrops, up to 70% off transaction fees, and upgrades on Elite trader levels.

Limitations
Now that I've addressed the positives, it's time to flip the scoreboard and shine some light on the platform's shortcomings. Based on my own experience and other users' WEEX reviews, here's where the exchange needs to step up its game a little:
- Limited crypto purchasing with fiat;
- Customer support is sometimes slow.
WEEX only allows buying crypto with fiat via its P2P market. There's no built-in crypto onramp you can often find on popular CEXs. While P2P trading is generally fine, it can get quite limiting if there are not many other users who want to sell. For instance, as of writing, WEEX's P2P market allows buying only 4 crypto assets and only with VDN or RUB.
Moreover, some users have reported issues with customer service, including delayed responses and difficulties resolving account-related problems. However, this is something that's pretty common in the crypto exchange sphere. I, personally, didn't have any difficulties using WEEX's customer support.
Security
Even the best exchange in the world would be useless if you couldn't trust it to keep your crypto and personal data safe, right? The good news is, WEEX is no slouch in that regard.
The exchange ensures user fund security through multiple layers: two-factor authentication (2FA), withdrawal address whitelisting, and cold wallet storage for the majority of assets. It also uses multi-signature authorization for transactions, maintains a 1:1 Proof of Reserves policy, and has a 1,000 BTC protection fund to cover unexpected losses.
By the way, when it comes to security, it's also worth noting that WEEX completes AI-powered risk control and independent third-party security audits. The latter provides users with extra assurance that the platform’s systems are regularly tested for vulnerabilities and meet recognized industry standards.
Besides, WEEX employs a partially optional KYC: you'll be able to trade without the verification, but not buy crypto with your debit/credit card via P2P trading.
The withdrawal limit for non-KYC users is rather high at 10,000 USDT per day. If you want to increase it, though, you can pass it by providing your ID and performing a liveness check. Once you get verified, your withdrawal limit is increased to 1,000,000 USDT per day.
Plus, when you verify your identity, you get extra protection for your funds and recovery options, because your account is linked to your real identity.
Without KYC | With KYC | |
---|---|---|
Crypto Deposits & Trading Features (Spot, Futures, Demo, and Copy Trading) | ✓ | ✓ |
Daily Withdrawal Limit | 10,000 USDT | 1,000,000 USDT |
Buy/Selling Crypto With Fiat (Via P2P) | ✗ | ✓ |
Account Security | Standard | Enhanced |
Table: Access to WEEX with and without KYC
Do note that you can increase the withdrawal limit by reaching higher VIP program levels. At the best tier, VIP 8, the daily withdrawal limit for unverified users is 500,000 USDT, while verified users can withdraw up to 15,000,000 USDT.
In late 2024, Michael Owen became a global brand ambassador for WEEX. This move boosts the exchange’s credibility by associating it with a well-known public figure, signaling trustworthiness and wider recognition in the market.
Trading Tools
By now, you probably have an idea of what to expect from this exchange. So, it's time to really dig in and explore all of its features from up close. Let's continue this WEEX review by going over the platform's trading features. Here's what you'll find:
- P2P trading;
- Spot trading with 1,000+ cryptocurrencies and 3,000+ trading pairs;
- Futures trading with USDT-M perpetual contracts;
- Futures demo trading;
- Copy trading.
Let's start with the fact that WEEX offers a P2P market where users can buy crypto with fiat from other users with zero fees. There, you can buy USDT, ETH, BTC, or USDC. However, it is a bit limiting, so crypto deposits are currently the way to go on WEEX.
Now, as I've mentioned, this exchange is definitely a haven for more discerning traders who don't want to limit themselves only to the most popular coins in spot trading. Aside from the typical go-to choices like BTC, ETH, and SOL, WEEX offers over 1,000 more coins and assets.
Besides, in July 2025, the platform replaced its old spot trading system with Spot Pro, which brings high-speed processing, over 3,000 trading pairs, advanced order types, TradingView integration, and enhanced security protocols.
Next up, we've got futures trading. In line with most other exchanges, WEEX offers perpetual contracts, which are a type of futures contracts with no expiration date. You can choose between hundreds of USDT-M contracts with up to 400x leverage, depending on your leverage tier. The funding rates are settled every 8 hours and range between 0.000336% and 0.01%.
Seems a bit risky? No problem! WEEX invites you to dip your toes into futures trading the safe way – with a demo trading account. Unlike regular futures trading, there are only two markets available: BTC/SUSDT and ETH/SUSDT. You get a balance of 50,000 SUSDT, but the long and short position limit is 9.2545 BTC or 287.156 ETH, depending on which one you choose.
Another attractive option for ambitious learners is copy trading. With this system, you can become a copier who emulates the moves of their chosen pro trader,[1] or an Elite trader whose strategies will be copied by other, less experienced traders.
Elite traders' performance history is publicly available: you can check metrics like their 3-week copier profit, 3-week PnL, total copy trading profits, and more. The best part is that, depending on their level, Elite traders get up to 20% profit share.
WEEX has over 5,000 Elite traders and over 50,000 copiers who accumulate $800+ million in copy trading volume.
Customer Support
Is customer support a bane of your life as a crypto trader? You're not alone... While there are some negative user WEEX reviews regarding customer support, it does have most of the necessary features in place.
You've got all the standard options like live chatbot, email, and feedback form. VIP clients get priority support with faster response times. Unfortunately, regular users might need to wait a bit longer for a reply, but that depends on how busy the support team is.
To give some credit where it's due, WEEX has a pretty impressive community network. The 7 main global social media channels (X, Telegram, Discord, Medium, Facebook, LinkedIn, and YouTube) are all available in separate versions for the Chinese and Korean audiences.
The knowledge base is also decent. It's well-organized, and you have a convenient search bar, which you can use when looking for something specific. On top of that, there's the WEEX Learn section, where you can find some educational content about crypto trading (though there are not too many articles there yet).

Localization and Regional Adaptability
Now that's an area where WEEX is winning. Regional availability (or lack thereof) is one of the most frustrating issues a lot of crypto traders have to deal with if they live in one of the countries that frequently get shafted because of international sanctions or strict crypto regulations.[2]
WEEX operates in 130+ countries, including the United States, Canada, and Australia. On the other hand, the residents of North Korea, Iran, Syria, Cuba, Sudan, Crimea, Donetsk, and Luhansk won't be able to access it.
In the US, WEEX is registered with the MSB license and FinTech certification. It also holds a Canadian MSB license and a BSP license in El Salvador.
To add to that, WEEX is in the process of applying for licenses in several other jurisdictions, including the UAE, the Philippines, Malta, and Malaysia (but these applications are still pending as of writing).
For users seeking localization, there's the option to choose from 17 different languages for their interface, including Mandarin Chinese, Japanese, Arabic, Spanish, Portuguese, German, and Polish. Plus, they can switch between 11 fiat currencies to view the prices in.
Bonuses and Special Offers
Who among us doesn't love getting free crypto? If you're the type to get a burst of motivation from various deals and promotions, WEEX is the right exchange for you. It features a whole array of different rewards programs and bonuses:
- Welcome bonuses;
- Referral program;
- VIP club;
- Daily Spin to Win;
- Trading competitions and other events.
The welcome bonus initiative gives new users 30 days to complete basic getting-started tasks like enabling KYC, adding a recovery mobile number, or making their first deposit. The rewards come in USDT vouchers and position airdrops, which can be used to open futures positions with specified leverage and direction for free.
WEEX Deal Active Right Now:
Then, you can also earn some nice rewards via WEEX's referral program. Any user can participate by sharing a referral link. Once your referral completes their tasks, you'll both earn some USDT. On top of that, you'll earn a 30% commission from your invited friend's trading activity.
The VIP club is another benefit for active users. The main eligibility requirement is holding WXT tokens, reaching a certain trading limit, or having a certain asset balance in their account (you have to meet whichever one, not all).
If you’re VIP 1 and either hold 5,000 WXT, trade at least 1M USDT in futures (or 500K USDT in spot) over 30 days, or keep a 5-day average balance of 10,000 USDT, you’ll get 10% off trading fees and higher withdrawal limits. Users at the highest level, VIP 8, enjoy a whopping 70% discount on fees and even higher withdrawal limits.
Additionally, VIPs get exclusive airdrops and rewards, dedicated customer suppor, and access to VIP events, among other things.
Aside from these programs, you'll see all sorts of regular events and trading challenges, including the daily Spin to Win, where you can win crypto or various bonus vouchers. All you need to do is log in to the platform and take a look around – you won't miss those promotional banners!

Fees and Limits
Nobody enjoys having to comb through the platform trying to find out how much it costs to use it, especially since this info is sometimes obfuscated or otherwise hard to interpret. So, to save you some time, I've summarized WEEX trading fees in this table:
Type | Fees | Limits |
---|---|---|
Withdrawal | 0.00016 BTC; 0.0015 ETH; 0.8-15 USDT; 0.001 LTC; 4 DOGE | Minimum withdrawal - depends on the asset; Daily withdrawal limit - 10,000 USDT (for VIP 0 unverified users) or 1,000,000 USDT (for VIP 0 verified users) |
Deposit | Free | Unlimited; minimum deposit depends on the asset and network (e.g., for USDT via ERC-20 it's 0.001 USDT) |
Spot trading | Start at 0.1% for makers and takers | - |
Futures trading | Start at 0.02% for makers and 0.08% for takers | - |
Table: WEEX fees
As you can see, WEEX stands out with its high withdrawal limits. Non-KYC users can withdraw up to 10,000 USDT per day, which is notably high compared to many other exchanges. These generous limits make WEEX appealing to privacy-conscious traders.
However, completing KYC unlocks even higher withdrawal limits (1,000,000 USDT daily) and may be required for certain features or under specific circumstances.
If you increase your VIP level, you can increase your withdrawal limits even more, whether you're a verified or unverified user.
As a cherry on top, your VIP level determines your trading fees. As I've mentioned before, you can increase your level by either increasing your trading volume (spot or features), your WXT holdings or your general asset balance. You can see the exact numbers you need to reach on WEEX, but here's a summary of how the fees change:
Futures (maker/taker) | Spot (maker/taker) | |
---|---|---|
VIP 0 | 0.02%/0.08% | 0.1%/0.1% |
VIP 1 | 0.018%/0.072% | 0.08%/0.09% |
VIP 2 | 0.015%/0.06% | 0.07%/0.08% |
VIP 3 | 0.013%/0.052% | 0.05%/0.06% |
VIP 4 | 0.012%/0.048% | 0.04%/0.05% |
VIP 5 | 0.011%/0.044% | 0.03%/0.04% |
VIP 6 | 0.01%/0.04% | 0.02%/0.03% |
VIP 7 | 0.008%/0.032% | 0.01%/0.02% |
VIP 8 | 0%/0.024% | 0%/0% |
Table: WEEX fees based on the VIP level
The ultimate VIPs have to pay no fees or just a fraction if they are futures market takers. These are some nice rates, for sure. That said, even at the VIP 0 level, WEEX offers low trading fees.
User Experience
Now, theoretically, everything seems great about WEEX, but how is all that in practice? Well, I was pleasantly surprised by the platform. I've tried out a fair share of exchanges up to this point and can say that WEEX is definitely easy to use.
The registration process took me less than a minute, especially since there's no need to pass KYC until you don't need that higher withdrawal limit or access to purchasing crypto with fiat.
The WEEX trading platform features a simple and user-friendly layout and has a Light & Dark mode, whichever tickles your fancy.
Switching between its spot, futures, copy trading, and other features is all very seamless. Overall, its navigation is not different from the industry standard, so if you've already used some popular CEXs, you'll be familiar with everything.
As for the performance part of the user experience, WEEX has deep liquidity. While the figures differ across various crypto data aggregators, most sources still estimate a daily trading volume range between $2-5 billion.
WEEX is capable of handling 20,000 transactions per second on its spot market.
By the way, users who prefer trading on their smartphone won't be left hanging, either. WEEX has a mobile app for both iOS and Android devices.
To sum it all up, I'd say that from account security to actual trading, the whole process is streamlined on WEEX, making it one of the easiest exchanges I’ve ever used.
How to Use WEEX
You can read as many WEEX reviews as you'd like, but only once you try out the platform can you see whether it fits your standards. So, check out these step-by-step guides, and give it a spin!
How to Create a WEEX Account
The first thing you'll have to do, of course, is sign up on the exchange. The process is no different than creating an account on most other CEXs. Here's how to do it:
This is it! You're now ready to trade on the WEEX exchange.
How to Deposit on WEEX
Not so fast, of course – if you want to take WEEX for a ride on the spot, futures, or copy trading carousel, you'll first have to deposit some funds into your account. If you haven't completed the KYC verification yet, the only way to get crypto on WEEX is by transferring it from another wallet. Follow this guide:
All done! It might take a minute or two for your transfer to go through.
You can also buy crypto on WEEX with fiat via its P2P market, but you'll have to pass KYC for that, and it's currently quite limited when it comes to both crypto and fiat selection.
How to Withdraw From WEEX
Finally, here's how to withdraw from your WEEX wallet to another one if you decide to move your hard-earned crypto to, say, a secure cold wallet like Ledger Flex:
Here you go! Just like with deposits, the transfer from your WEEX wallet to another one might take a while, depending on the network conditions, so be patient.
Withdrawals to other WEEX user addresses are free and instant.
Comparison to Other Popular Exchanges
To wrap up this WEEX review, let's have a little comparative analysis as a treat! We've already examined this exchange from every angle, but how does it fare next to popular platforms like Binance, Kraken, and Bybit?
- Binance. With over 250 million users, Binance is currently one of the most popular crypto exchanges in the world. It offers competitive trading fees, multiple earning and staking options, and some of the less conventional trading types.
- Kraken. Famous for its intuitive interface and stringent security, Kraken is a great option for both beginners and experienced traders. You'll find over 500 cryptocurrencies and several types of trading: spot, margin, futures, and OTC.
- Bybit. This exchange features an especially generous selection of over 2,100 cryptocurrencies and a thriving Web3 ecosystem, including three types of wallets and other services. It also offers several staking and yield farming options.
Let's compare WEEX with these platforms side by side.
WEEX VS Binance
Launched in 2017, Binance is the number one exchange by daily trading volume and the number of users. It has over 500 cryptocurrencies and 1,500+ trading pairs. Where WEEX edges it out is by offering double the number of supported assets and trading pairs.
Binance charges a standard 0.1% spot trading fee for both makers and takers. Similarly to WEEX, it employs a VIP tier system where users get a fee discount depending on their trading volume. On the highest tier, the spot trading maker fees are down to just 0.01%. This is great, but WEEX offers 0% fees for both spot makers and takers at this level.
Futures trading is a bit more budget-friendly on Binance, though (specifically for takers). The maker fee for USDT-M perpetual contracts is 0.02%, while the taker fee is 0.05%, as opposed to WEEX's 0.08%.
A major advantage Binance has over WEEX is the staking option. This exchange features both simple and advanced earning options – the latter promising higher yields but with an added risk. However, WEEX offers plenty of ways to earn free crypto via exciting events.
Binance operates in over 180 countries, giving it a wider reach than WEEX, but unlike the platform in question, it does not provide access to US traders. Also, Binance does not allow non-KYC trading.

WEEX VS Kraken
If you're a fan of robust security measures and a top-notch user experience, you can't go wrong with Kraken. This platform operates in over 190 countries and has 500+ cryptocurrencies. Launched in 2011, it's one of the oldest crypto exchanges.
Kraken comes with spot, futures, and OTC trading. Margin trading allows up to 5x leverage, while derivatives trading supports over 100 perpetual futures contracts with up to 50x leverage.
When it comes to crypto selection, WEEX blows Kraken out of the water. However, Kraken supports more fiat currencies and even allows trading them directly with crypto across multiple fiat-crypto pairs, not just use it for buying.
On the other hand, Kraken's spot trading fees are quite a lot higher than WEEX's – 0.25% for makers and 0.4% for takers, with a 30-day trading volume between $0 and $10,000.
It does have a tiered system where the highest VIP tier makers can enjoy spot trading free of charge, while the taker fee for that tier is 0.1%, but it requires huge trading volume, and taker fees fall to WEEX's starting rates.
Besides, if you're a privacy-conscious trader, note that Kraken is very strict with regulations and doesn't allow using its features without passing extensive KYC. WEEX, on the other hand, gives you almost full access to its features without it.

WEEX VS Bybit
For the final comparison, let's take a look at Bybit, another top-tier centralized exchange with over 10 million users. On this exchange, you'll find over 2,100 cryptocurrencies – more than on WEEX. It also takes the lead with trading functionality by also featuring options trading, OTC trading, and trading bots.
Bybit is a great option for investors looking for a one-stop shop. It's an entire Web3 ecosystem with its own decentralized exchange, NFT marketplace, and several types of self-custodial wallets. Unsurprisingly, you'll also find multiple staking and earning options.
Bybit's spot trading fees run a spectrum from 0.1% all the way down to 0.02% and 0% for market takers and makers, respectively. Meanwhile, futures trading costs 0.02% for makers and 0.055% for takers. Bybit also has about as much of a geographical range as WEEX, operating in 160+ countries.
All that being said, Bybit cannot be used without passing KYC, which is where WEEX shines. Also, Bybit is restricted for users in the US or Canada, which is the opposite of WEEX.

Conclusions: Is WEEX Right for You?
Summing up this WEEX review, I can say that it is a safe and reliable CEX that offers spot, futures, and copy trading with over 1,000 cryptocurrencies. It's well-suited for both beginner and experienced traders, especially those who enjoy limited-time rewarding events.
Putting all that into perspective, WEEX sounds like the majority of popular crypto exchanges, so what makes it stand out? Well, its most differentiating feature is the possibility of non-KYC trading even for users in the US or Canada. Plus, it offers low trading fees and a VIP program that brings many benefits to the table.
Would I recommend giving WEEX a go? Yes, especially if you fall into any of the intended user categories. FYI, it currently offers a lucrative new user bonus!
