What Is Voxies (VOXEL)?

VOXEL is the native token of Voxie Tactics, which is a retro-style voxel RPG game. The game is inspired by old tactical games, however, it’s made using modern game tactics. Voxie Tactics is a part of an NFT-based project called Voxies. Overall, the Voxies crypto project allows users to explore the Voxtopia world, challenge other Voxie Tactics players, collect unique NFT characters, earn VOXEL tokens, and do so much more. There are two gaming modes – Exploration (of the Voxtopia world) and Battling (on the PvP Arena).

The Voxies NFT collection is based on Ethereum and it is the driving force of the whole project. There are 10,000 Voxies in total and each is completely unique. Voxies can represent humans, animals, aliens, zombies, and various other beings. Besides, Voxies are fully animated and feature a variety of playful emotes. They can be traded with others or used in Voxie Tactics PvP or PvE battles. Also, note that Voxies can be combined to create new generation Voxies. However, in order to do that, users also need to have Crystals and the Catalyst Stone, which are not easy to come by.

Additionally, note that Voxies has its own NFT market, which makes it much easier to trade in-game items.

Who Founded Voxies?

The Voxies crypto project was developed by AlwaysGeeky Games in 2021.

AlwaysGeeky Games is a team of seasoned game developers that was assembled for the creation of Voxies. The members of the team have worked in AAA game studios such as Ubisoft, EA Games, and Warner Brothers Games. AlwaysGeeky Games was founded by Steven Ball and Ash Kurn.

Steven Ball is the CEO of AlwaysGeeky Game. He has been in the game development industry for over 15 years. To be more specific, he worked with EA games and Ubisoft prior to founding AlwaysGeeky Games.

Ash Kurn is the CCO of AlwaysGeeky Games. In the past, he was the senior sales manager at Habitat and the QA tester at Warner Brothers Games.

Use Cases of VOXEL Tokens

VOXEL is the utility token of Voxie Tactics. It’s the driving force behind all in-game mechanics. The following are the main use cases of VOXEL tokens:

• Reward. This is the primary use case of VOXEL tokens. Since Voxie Tactics is a play-to-earn game, VOXEL tokens stand for the “earn” part.
• Payment method. VOXEL tokens can be used to make any in-game payments or buy various items, including armor, weapons, etc.
• Item crafting. VOXEL tokens are needed in order to craft your own in-game items.
