What Is Virtua (TVK)?

The NFT marketplace that Virtua provides allows users to purchase 3D animated digital assets and sets of interactive virtual environments. In fact, Virtua has partnered with such projects as Paramount, Dynamite Entertainment, and Hero ISL to develop their NFT collections.

However, as of 2022, the focus of the project is launching the Virtua metaverse. It’s a gamified virtual world in which each plot has its own value and resources. The first phase of the launch includes launching Cardano Island. This is a place for players to communicate with each other, create their own environments, and store their NFTs. Later, there will be much more islands released, each having its own purpose.

The Story of Virtua

The Virtua crypto project was founded in 2017 by Gary Bracey and Jawad Ashraf.

However, Virtua was initially known as Terra Virtua. Primarily, the project aimed to release a metaverse, which is also its main purpose as of writing this. Unfortunately, the concept of metaverses was not the most popular in 2017.

Therefore, at that time, Virtua focused on creating a marketplace for NFTs. Thus, that is what the project was primarily recognized for up until 2022, when it made the decision to rebrand and release the Virtua metaverse after previously working on it for five years.

Talking about the founders, Gary Bracey is the Chairman of Virtua. In the past, he worked in such companies as Ocean Software, Telstar Electronic Studios, Digimask, Techwear, Kuju Entertainment, Digital Sports Arena, and Scary Puppies. He usually was responsible for the development of these companies. Considering Jawad Ashraf, he is the CEO of Virtua. Ashraf has a degree in computing science. Prior to founding Virtua, he worked at Hiscox Syndicates, Innovattix, ElevationTS, and The Entertainer.

Use Cases of TVK Tokens

TVK tokens were developed based on the ERC-20 token standard. In terms of the use cases of the Virtua tokens, the following are the main ones:

• Staking. Users who stake TVK tokens are able to become a part of Virtua Prestige clubs, which offer a variety of benefits, including TVK bonuses, exclusive airdrops, extra features, and so on.
• Reward tokens. Virtua tokens are utilized to reward users for trading, going on quests, governing the project, and various other reasons.
• NFT development. TVK tokens are required to get access to Terra Forma tools, which allow users to create their own NFTs or fan tokens.
• NFT farming. TVK tokens are needed in the process of farming exclusive NFTs.
