What is Polychain Monsters (PMON)?
PMON is the native token of Polychain Monsters, which is an NFT-based trading game. The main focus of Polychain Monsters is to create a blockchain-based trading card game that borrows some of the mechanics from the popular Pokémon card game. Check out the live Polychain Monsters price chart placed above if you want to see the current or the previous PMON price.
The Polychain Monsters NFT collection contains a huge variety of unique collectibles that are at the center of the game. Each Polychain Monster is based on the ERC-721 token standard.
Besides, the game has Booster Packs, which, in essence, are NFT mystery boxes that contain animated Polychain Monsters NFTs. However, at first, Polychain Monsters in the Booster Packs are only soft-minted NFTs. Thus, users must burn PMON tokens to mint their preferred Polychain Monsters if they want to convert them into full-fledged NFTs.
Use Cases of PMON Tokens
PMON tokens are based on the ERC-20 token standard. They are the driving force of the whole Polychain Monsters game. PMON coins are used to purchase Booster Packs, turn soft-minted NFTs into full-fledged NFTs, and, overall, as a means of payment and exchange within the Polychain Monsters ecosystem.
There are many more use cases planned for Polychain Monsters tokens in the future, including staking.
