rETH crypto project is Rocket Pool protocol's liquid staking token. It represents the ETH that is being staked and benefits from rewards when node operators stake Ethereum on Proof-of-Stake.
David Rugendykeis is the founder and CTO behind Rocket Pool ETH, which was initiated in late 2016.
Rocket Pool ETH token differentiates itself from other tokenized staking options by providing access to Ethereum Proof-of-Stake returns while reducing users' risk through liquid staking. Rocket Pool serves two primary user groups: those that want to stake as little as 0.01 ETH in tokenized staking with rETH coins and those that want to run a node in the network to get better returns than staking outside the protocol through commissions earned.
