Picozzi, who goes by Satoshigallery online, wrote on X, "This is such an achievement, even in our wildest dreams we wouldn’t think about placing the statue of Satoshi Nakamoto in this location! The 6th/21 statues of Satoshi Nakamoto found its home in the NYSE".
The event took place on the anniversary of the Bitcoin mailing list, which Satoshi Nakamoto started on December 10, 2008. The timing adds symbolic meaning to the installation, which links it to the beginning of Bitcoin’s public story.
