Former MrBeast Editor Launches AI Tool 'Palo' for Content Planning
Key Takeaways
- Jay Neo, formerly with MrBeast, co-founded Palo, an AI platform to help creators plan better content and understand audience behavior;
- Palo analyzes short videos using AI to spot patterns in viewer response, content style, and what drives retention;
- The tool offers idea generation, performance insights, and script support, now available to creators with over 100,000 followers.
Jay Neo, who previously worked on short video content at MrBeast, is developing an artificial intelligence (AI) tool designed to help content creators improve their ideas and performance.
Along with Harry Jones, another creator, and Shivam Kumar, a former engineer from Palantir, Neo co-founded a platform called Palo.
Neo’s interest in content performance began when he joined MrBeast at 18. His focus was on figuring out why people stopped watching videos. He studied retention data to identify where audiences lost interest.

What Does Staking Mean in Crypto? (Easily Explained!)
Palo’s platform has three main features: an AI-powered idea generator, a performance analytics tool, and a community space.
When a creator joins, they are asked to connect their social accounts. The system then reviews their short videos and gives feedback on what is performing well and what is not.
Shivam Kumar, who leads the technical side of Palo, explained that the tool uses several AI models to break down content into key parts, such as opening hooks, viewer reactions, themes, and how original the video is.
The planning assistant is set up like a chatbot. Creators can ask questions about their content or request help with scripts.
For those who create more visual content and speak less in their videos, the tool can also create storyboards with suggested opening shots.
In early testing, about 40 creators with a combined following of over one million took part. Currently, the platform is opening up to creators with at least 100,000 followers.
