Caduceus Joins Forces With Cricket Legend Lord Botham to Fire up NFT Collection

The partnership will be focused on involving new players in the bat-and-ball game.

Caduceus, a metaverse-driven open blockchain platform, has recently announced that it would be joining forces with the British sporting legend Lord Botham to roll out a brand new non-fungible token (NFT) collection on the Light Cycle platform.

According to the official announcement issued on July 23rd, the partnership will see both parties launching a cricket-based NFT collection into the metaverse in order to attract a new generation of young cricketers.

Lord Botham, a major sports personality and one of the best cricket players around the world, commented on the initiative to introduce the undisputed sport in such an innovative way, adding:

“Like most people, I’ve been hearing a lot about the Metaverse and NFTs, I’ve done my research and am delighted to be launching my ‘Beefy Botham’ NFTs on Light Cycle which is powered by the Caduceus blockchain.”

The prestigious sports personality mentioned that fans will be able to access various tutorials and guides, ensuring the best possible multi-user 3D experience.

Likewise, Tim Bullman, CEO of Caduceus, noted that the company is grateful to have the opportunity to take cricket to the metaverse, mentioning that “there’s a lot more to come.”

The official report also read that the partnership will provide a view of what can be achieved when incorporating a global sport into the Web3 environment. Apart from the educational benefits, users will also be able to gain experience in a new level of gamification.

On another note, it seems like Caduceus has been making a name for itself for quite some time now, as the metaverse protocol recently rolled out its native token CMP and listed it on a number of crypto trading platforms, including Bitget.

In fact, this isn't the first sports-driven collaboration exploring the possibilities of metaverse technology. For instance, earlier in July, the gaming giant The Sandbox announced its partnership with the professional skater Tony Hawk to build the largest skatepark.
