What is World Mobile Token (WMT)?
The World Mobile network is a blockchain-based mobile network that employs the sharing economy through the use of nodes. The World Mobile Token (WMT) is a virtual asset that drives the World Mobile network. To provide connectivity in vital areas, World Mobile is establishing a hybrid network architecture and collaborating with existing telecom providers. As more network nodes are expected to go online, the network's adoption is expected to grow significantly, together with the WMT price.
There are three types of nodes on the Mobile World network:
- EarthNode. This type of node processes transactions and services on the network.
- AirNode. This type of node is used to run the network by allowing users to surf, call, or text by connecting to the node.
- AetherNode. This type of node processes all traffic between legacy infrastructures worldwide and the World Mobile network.
WMT's sharing economy lays the groundwork for low-cost nodes built on the Cardano blockchain technology. The nodes serve as local gateways for internet access. Members are able to access solutions such as online banking, entertainment, and education through these nodes. When users utilize the network, they make network transactions. This comprises calls, messages, downloads, Internet surfing, and any other value-added services.
Use Cases of WMT
WMT's main purpose is to reward both – token owners who want to support the network's activity by transferring their WMT shares to a node operator, and node operators who run their nodes.
Besides rewarding node operators with WMT for their efforts in processing transactions, the platform also allows users to stake their WMT tokens and be rewarded in exchange for securing the network.
Lastly, WMT coins can be used to pay for data, texts, and calls accessed through the network. Thus, WMT serves as a payment method within the network.

Who Founded World Mobile?
In 2018, Micky Watkins founded the World Mobile Group. As the CEO of the company, Micky has attracted many VC and private funding investors such as Carmel Ventures. He has also launched the first VOIP network and has spent years creating strategies and tools to improve connectivity around the world.

The max supply of WMT coins is set at 2 billion. The fixed supply of tokens somewhat helps to safeguard the WMT price from inflation.
