What Is OVER (OVR)?
OVR is the native token of an Ethereum-based Augmented Reality (AR) platform called OVER. OVR stands for “over the reality.” The OVER crypto-based project enables users to explore VR and AR environments overlayed in the real world, earn crypto, become NFT Landowners, and create their own geolocalized experiences. Talking about becoming an NFT Landowner, OVER features virtual lands (called OVRLands), which are mapped in the real world. These lands can be bought or rented in the form of 300 m2 hexagonal spatial domains, which are much like web domains based on NFT standards. OVRLand owners can earn crypto by creating virtual events, gaming experiences, and a variety of other types of Web 3.0 experiences on their lands.
Additionally, OVER offers users a mobile app that enables them to design their own unique avatars. They are able to create avatars that are exact replicas of themselves since the whole concentration of the project is on VR and AR.
The Purpose of OVR Tokens
OVR crypto assets are built using the ERC-20 token standard. The following are the main use cases of the tokens:
- Governance. OVR token holders have the right to decide on the further development of the OVR crypto project.
- Staking. OVR tokens have to be staked in order to operate OVER nodes.
- Payment method. OVR tokens are used to make any payments within the platform, including purchasing OVRLands, buying products on the OVR marketplace, and so on.
