WikiLeaks Creator Julian Assange to Release Top Secret NFTs with Pak

WikiLeaks Creator Julian Assange to Release Top Secret NFTs with Pak

The collection titled Censored will be the next NFT project by one of the most successful digital asset artists named Pak, in collaboration with Julian Assange.

As non-fungible tokens became a profitable area for artists, there have been various collaborations with world-renowned celebrities and personalities. However, Pak’s newest NFT project will feature Julian Assange, the Australian editor who founded the controversial news organization WikiLeaks.

Earlier in January of 2022, Wikileaks posted a tweet with a cryptic image that had only two words written on it - "one thousand." Followers quickly connected the dots, and, later that month, Pak retweeted WikiLeaks' post announcing their collaborativeNFT project.

Pak is an anonymous digital artist who had the most NFT sales on his "Merge" collection, raking in $91.8M. His work has been featured on top NFT bidding platforms like Nifty, Superare, and on one of the most well-known auction houses Sotheby’s.

The "Censored" collection, according to Pak, will be split into two parts: an exclusive edition, featuring unique, one-of-a-kind NFTs, and dynamic open edition assets for everyone to join.

While the content of the NFTs is still unknown, some suggest that the digital assets will feature top-secret material from WikiLeaks or Julian Assange himself. According to the announcement by Pak, the collection will be released on February 7th.

This collection may be similar to the ones created by news agencies that sell photo-based NFTs. On January 11th, New York’s Associated Press announced that they will be releasing digital assets, featuring award-winning moments captured by journalists.
