The auction will take place from November 1st to November 8th (9:00 pm GMT), with football fans bidding for their favorite FIFA World Cup™ and FIFA Women’s World Cup™ goal on Crypto.com. The exclusive Visa Masters of Movement NFTs were created using an algorithm from award-winning XK Studios.
Visa’s Senior Vice President and Head of Sponsorships, Andrea Fairchild, when talking about the collaboration, noted:
As FIFA World Cup 2022™ approaches, we want to celebrate football, art, and technology through the lens of what makes the FIFA World Cup™ so special – wildly impassioned fans, legendary athletes and for a few short weeks, the ability to bring the world together in a uniquely connected way.
At the end of the auction, the five fans with the highest bids will receive NFTs in their Crypto.com wallets. Moreover, along with NFTs, fans will receive “a high-quality printable art file and signed memorabilia from the legendary player featured in the NFT.”
Crypto.com Chief Marketing Officer Steven Kalifowitz said that the auction would be a new way for fans to engage with FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™.
We are thrilled to partner with Visa in bringing Visa Masters of Movement to life and offering fans the opportunity to create and collect the most unique collectibles at FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™ that will live forever on the blockchain.
It is worth noting that all proceeds from the auction will go directly to the Street Child United charity.
Moreover, during the FIFA Fan Festival™ in Doha (November 19-December 18), fans will be able to create their own legendary moves. The personalized artwork will be sent to fans via email or can be minted as one-of-a-kind NFTs.
