Visa, an American multinational financial services corporation, has joined forces with crypto exchange Crypto.com to host a digital art Visa Masters of Movement auction.
According to the announcement shared by Crypto.com, the auction features non-fungible tokens (NFTs) of five iconic goals made by legendary football players Tim Cahill, Jared Borgetti, Michael Owen, Carli Lloyd, and Maxi Rodriguez.

Visa Masters of Movement is “a first-of-its-kind hybrid experience featuring a pre-event NFT auction and immersive activation for fans at FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™.”
The auction will take place from November 1st to November 8th (9:00 pm GMT), with football fans bidding for their favorite FIFA World Cup™ and FIFA Women’s World Cup™ goal on Crypto.com. The exclusive Visa Masters of Movement NFTs were created using an algorithm from award-winning XK Studios.
Visa’s Senior Vice President and Head of Sponsorships, Andrea Fairchild, when talking about the collaboration, noted:
As FIFA World Cup 2022™ approaches, we want to celebrate football, art, and technology through the lens of what makes the FIFA World Cup™ so special – wildly impassioned fans, legendary athletes and for a few short weeks, the ability to bring the world together in a uniquely connected way.
At the end of the auction, the five fans with the highest bids will receive NFTs in their Crypto.com wallets. Moreover, along with NFTs, fans will receive “a high-quality printable art file and signed memorabilia from the legendary player featured in the NFT.”
Crypto.com Chief Marketing Officer Steven Kalifowitz said that the auction would be a new way for fans to engage with FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™.
