According to the official announcement, Ukraine’s Ministry of Culture and Information Policy mentioned that the Meta History Museum of War platform has managed to collect 803.28 Ethereum (ETH), estimated at around $1.3M.

Oleksandr Tkachenko, Ukraine’s Minister of Culture and Information Policy, mentioned that Russia has already destroyed hundreds of museums and damaged Ukraine’s national heritage by roughly 6B euros.

Likewise, Oleksandr Borniakov, deputy minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine for Information Technology Development, noted that the NFT will eventually help the country to get back on its feet by rebuilding its economy.

The news arrives after the Meta History project was fired up back in March. The platform stated that such a significant capital would be also allocated to help Ukraine restore what was and will be destroyed amid Russia’s aggression.

The NFT collection, dubbed Meta History War Museum, was a set of 2,182 NFTs in total and displayed all the tragic events that happened since Russia attacked Ukraine.

Back in June, Ukraine’s hip hop group Kalush Orchestra announced that it would be selling the glass microphone trophy that it managed to win during ESC 2022, in order to raise funds for the country.

In fact, since Russia attacked Ukraine, the country has already collected over $100M in crypto-related donations to help the country's military and provide humanitarian aid.
