'Secret' Crypto Bill Draft
The word's out in the streets. A new draft of the Digital Commodities Consumer Protection Act (DCCPA) bill is available. Supposedly, it's legit. But those who've seen it, have rather positive feedback about it.
You see, the previous draft version was dubbed as something that would be the end of DeFi. Careless, innovation-killing regulations. But the updated draft makes it look like things are heading towards a brighter direction.
The 31-page document has been shared by Delphi Labs' general counsel Gabriel Shapiro. The bill was made public because they believe in 'transparency and open discussion'.
Martin Hiesboeck, head of research at crypto exchange UpHold, tweeted that the bill "seems to follow UK/EU reg in broad strokes even though it uses similar somewhat different terminology. US finally getting their act together. All good."
TL;DR: Updated version of the Digital Commodities Consumer Protection Act bill is being prepared. Judging from its contents, the US regulators are getting better, and things look promising.
The Search Intensifies
A Discord group consisting of 4,400 members is after Do Kwon. The group's called UST Restitution Group (URG), and they have one clear goal - to track down, and get the world's most famous Lunatic arrested.
The vigilantes have started their quest because of disappointment in law enforcement agencies. Even though South Korea has issued a warrant for his arrest, and Interpol expanded the search for him by issuing a Red Notice, the fact remains crystal clear. Do Kwon is out there, and all of these efforts have evaporated to no avail. For now, at least.
And it looks like this group is on to something. Russia, Azerbaijan, Dubai were among the most popular guesses about Do Kwon's current whereabouts within the group. And it's just been reported that South Korean Prosecutors have found out that Do Kwon left Singapore for Dubai one month ago. But it's very likely that he used Dubai only as a way to hide his traces, and probably has left for another country via Dubai.
TL;DR: Prosecutors found out that Do Kwon left Singapore for Dubai last month. The 4,400-strong Discord group is after him as well.
Airdrop Opportunity
Yesterday we asked you whether it would interest you to learn about new projects, testnets, and similar utility-based stuff. 86% of respondents voted 'yes'. Message received.
There's something big in the works. It's called Blur. It's an NFT marketplace and aggregator that will allow users sweep and list NFTs across marketplaces, snipe reveals, and manage their portfolios.
There's quite a squad of investors behind it (from Paradigm to people like the co-founder of SushiSwap, etc). It means there will be a lot of buzz around it.
They're testing their creation. Therefore they're about to reward the early-stage users. With airdrops. But there's a condition - you need to have some NFT volume on ETH marketplaces (during the last 6 months). If you don't have it, scroll down for the 'no volume' airdrop opportunities.
Airdrop consists of Care Packages that come in 3 different tiers: uncommon, rare, and legendary. The rarer the package, the more tokens and other supplies it contains. It will become possible to open them in January, 2023, once $BLUR and governance are launched.
Here's what you gotta do to receive that airdrop:
1. Go to the site and connect your Metamask wallet and see if you are eligible for an airdrop.
2. List an NFT.
3. On the airdrop page, press on the boxes and open them.
⚠️ Deadline - 13 days left ⚠️
If you don't have the volume (haven't received any boxes):
In addition to this airdrop, BLUR promises to make another drop for people who actively use their marketplace. This means that if you buy any NFTs via Blur, or just list your own, you might be good to go.
