A crypto engineer has released a website that allows artificial intelligence (AI) systems to hire people for real-world tasks.
The project, named rentahuman.ai, connects AI agents with humans who can complete activities that machines cannot perform in the physical world.
The creator, Alex, known as @AlexanderTw33ts on X, works at Uma Protocol and Across Protocol, both crypto-related platforms.

On February 2, he shared a short video showing how the site operates. People can list their services and set hourly rates, while AI agents can “rent” them to attend meetings, take photos, buy items, or sign documents.
The website presents itself with humor and a touch of irony. It said, "AI can't touch grass. You can. Get paid when agents need someone in the real world". Visitors can browse available profiles, track sign-ups, or register to be “rentable".
So far, the platform claims around 26,000 registered accounts, though Alex admitted that not all may be real users, as some could be duplicates or impersonations.
Although Alex comes from the crypto industry, he said there will be no token tied to the project.
Speaking on the Crosschain podcast by Across Protocol, he explained, “There’s no token. I’m just not into that. It would be too stressful, and I don’t want people to lose money".
