Remixpoint CEO Takashi Tashiro to Get Entire Paycheck in Bitcoin

Tokyo energy company Remixpoint has decided to pay its new CEO, Takashi Tashiro, in Bitcoin BTC $108,758.22 .

In a July 7 statement, Remixpoint explained that Tashiro’s salary will first be calculated in Japanese yen, including taxes and other deductions as required by law. Then, the company will use the same amount of yen to buy Bitcoin at the current market price.

Tashiro stepped into the CEO role in June and stated that he plans to make Bitcoin a central part of the company’s financial plans. The decision to pay his salary in Bitcoin is the first step in that direction.

In addition to leading Remixpoint, Tashiro also collaborates with BITPoint, a Japanese cryptocurrency exchange affiliated with the SBI Group. BITPoint has recently been promoting the Official Trump token, a meme coin tied to US President Donald Trump.

Remixpoint has already been building a portfolio of cryptocurrencies over the past few years. As of June 13, it held more than 1,051 Bitcoin, 901 Ethereum ETH $2,648.13 , 1.19 million XRP XRP $2.37 , 13,920 Solana SOL $153.76 , and about 2.8 million Dogecoin DOGE $0.1724 . Together, those assets were worth about $116 million at the time.
