OpenAI has acquired Software Applications, Inc., the company behind Sky, an artificial intelligence (AI) assistant for Mac computers.
Though not yet available to the public, Sky was designed to act as a helpful layer across a Mac desktop, which offers support while users write, plan, code, or use other software.
The assistant functions by observing what is on the screen and then performing actions based on that context. Sky is meant to follow users' workflow and help manage tasks across various applications without needing constant input.
