Golden State Warriors & FTX to Launch Commemorative NFT Collection

Currently sitting in 3rd place this NBA season, the San Francisco-based basketball team will celebrate the 2022 Playoff with an exclusive digital asset collection.

Sports teams have been heavily involved in the blockchain industry, especially world-renowned players who have large followings whose fans are constantly looking to get their hands on limited edition digital collectibles.

FTX has been a long-time partner and the official crypto sponsor of the Golden State Warriors since December of last year. It will be the team’s second NFT collection, this time minted through the FTX US cryptocurrency exchange.

According to the official news release, the NFT collection will be limited to 3000 units, with 12 of them having unique designs and additional benefits. In fact, each NFT will be dynamic, meaning that the collectibles will get extra utilities depending on GSW's performance during the 2022 Playoff.

Likewise, the NFT collection will feature a single "Gold Bar All-Access Pass" NFT which will be sold in the form of an auction, with the highest bidder receiving both digital and physical representations of the items and tickets to every Warriors game of the 2022 Playoffs.

The NFTs will be available to mint on April 15, 10:00 AM PDT, with each collectible being priced at $499.99 on the FTX marketplace.

Back in May of 2021, the Golden States Warriors Championship Ring and its respective 1-of-1 NFT sold for $871K on the OpenSea marketplace.
