World-renowned rapper Eminem has recently purchased the "EminApe" NFT from the Bored Ape Yacht Club Collection for $462,000.
Reported on December 31st by the creator of the NFT named GeeGazza, the purchase of his Bored Ape NFT (which was intentionally named "EminApe" because of the iconic army-style cap and a gold chain the rapper wears) was made on the OpenSea marketplace for just over $460K.
Coincidentally, on November 2nd, the NFT artist posted a tweet stating that sooner or later, Eminem will purchase his digital asset. With the growing popularity of NFTs throughout the year, and reaching the end of 2021, the creator was perplexed after the purchase of his "EminApe" by Slim Shady himself - as if he was "living in a simulation."

Eminem owns several other NFTs, but the "EminApe" has the highest price tag since it is part of the Bored Ape Yacht Club - a collection of some of the most expensive digital assets out there.
At the time of writing this article, the average price of a Bored Ape NFT is $291k with 301 digital assets sold over the last 7 days.
