Democrats Slammed for ‘Yikes’ Tweet Mocking Crypto Crash

The Democratic Party faced criticism from crypto supporters on February 6 after its official X account posted the word “yikes” alongside an image mocking cryptocurrency losses.

The image showed BTC $68,573.26 decline beside a picture of US President Donald Trump wearing a MAGA hat. Many in the crypto industry said the post ignored the real financial impact on everyday investors, not just political opponents.

Custodia Bank CEO Caitlin Long replied that the message seemed to make fun of people who had lost money, including many Democrats.
