Bhutan has introduced a new way for tourists to pay using cryptocurrencies through a partnership with Binance
The system was announced by the country's Department of Tourism on May 7 and allows visitors to cover costs like hotel stays, tickets, guides, and other services using more than 100 digital assets, including Bitcoin
It also allows travelers with Binance accounts to pay businesses in Bhutan by scanning a QR code with their phones. This includes small shops and craft sellers who may not have access to card payment machines.
