After years of producing daily videos, van den Bussche struggled to keep up. He decided to shift from being on camera himself to building a character that could continue the channel’s success without the same pressure.
While van den Bussche still controls Bloo’s voice and movements using face-tracking and motion tools, nearly everything else is managed by AI software. Tools like ChatGPT, ElevenLabs, and Google Gemini help generate scripts, edit videos, create thumbnails, and translate content into different languages.
Van den Bussche hopes to eventually hand over full control of the channel to AI. He has already tested fully AI-generated videos, but said they have not performed as well.
The current technology still lacks some of the creative decision-making and timing that viewers enjoy. Until those areas improve, he plans to continue playing a key role in how Bloo’s content is made.
