What Is Samoyedcoin (SAMO)?
Samoyedcoin (SAMO) is another memecoin that belongs to the dog-inspired memecoin family. SAMO tokens are based on the Solana blockchain. You can see the current SAMO price on the Samoyedcoin price chart above.
Even though the token is inspired by popular dog-themed tokens such as Dogecoin, Shiba Inu, and others, instead of representing the Shiba Inu dog breed, Samoyedcoin represents the Samoyed dog breed. This dog breed is among the 14 ancestor dog breeds that resemble wolves the most.
The primary objective of SAMO coins is to represent Solana and act as a gateway for new users to the network. In fact, being built on Solana is one of the distinguishing features of SAMO among other memecoins. Solana makes transactions with Samoyedcoins fast, low-cost, and energy-efficient. Also, it’s important to note that the SAMO community is referred to as the "Samo Famo.”
Besides, apart from the memecoin, the Samoyedcoin crypto project also released its own non-fungible token (NFTs) collection in 2022. It consists of 5,525 randomly generated Samoyed dog NFTs. Each NFT stands for dedication to enlist and teach the upcoming generation of Solana users. At the bargain price of one SOL per SAMO NFT, the whole Samoyedcoin collection was sold out in only 7 minutes after its release.
As of writing this, SAMO token and SAMO NFT owners get exclusive access to VIP channels and events in the Samoyedcoin Discord channel. Who Founded Samoyedcoin?
The Samoyedcoin crypto project was founded in 2021. The founders of the project have not revealed their identities. They go by the pseudonyms Hot Onion and smsl. It is only known that they both learned about the Solana network in early 2021. After they recognized its technological benefits, they agreed that it might use a fun meme project. Thus, they developed the very first memecoin on Solana.
The Samoyedcoin was created in honor of Sam Bankman-Fried and Anatoly Yakovenko. Bankman-Fried is the CEO of FTX and Alameda research, while Yakovenko is the co-founder of Solana.
