What is OptionRoom (ROOM)?
OptionRoom is an oracle as a service (OaaS) and forecast protocol developed on Polkadot, which utilizes governance to answer queries. The protocol allows people to create and take part in events where the derivatives of the events are connected with real-world outcomes through pegging - this means that the real-world currency of a country regulates a specific asset's currency.
The OptionRoom protocol was launched in September 2020, with Marsel Adawi as its CEO and Nasser Najjar heading up the software development team.
ROOM coin is the native token of the protocol, with users able to earn it as a reward for their participation. The protocol incentivizes those who take part in fulfilling requests by providing them with ROOM tokens. When someone requests an oracle, they pay a fee for ROOM crypto tokens. Those who offer honest solutions to these queries will be rewarded. In contrast, if somebody provides wrong or misleading answers, their tokens will be slashed, and their score will reset according to the protocol.
