On January 14th, Twitter user @boredapebot, who post the latest sales of BAYC NFTs, announced that the #4306 Bored Ape NFT was sold on the OpenSea marketplace for 74 ETH, which amounts to almost $234K.

This was later confirmed by the German YouTuber himself, with a follow-up tweet on how his new NFT is a more profitable investment than the supercar.

According to the automotive information platform Edmunds, a new 2021 Lamborghini Huracan Evo goes for somewhere between $206,485 - $261,274. On the other hand, Bored Ape Yacht Club NFTs have an average floor price of 83 ETH which is just over $262K.

With artwork-based digital assets gaining a lot of popularity across social media, even world-renowned celebrities started purchasing and creating their own NFTs. Just before New Year’s Eve of 2022, Eminem purchased a Bored Ape NFT, that visually represents him, for $462K.
