The Plato upgrade, set to take place on August 10th, will introduce BEP-126, implementing a mechanism designed to eliminate the possibility of blocks being reverted. The Hertz upgrade, planned for August 30th, will keep BNB Chain up to date with the latest developments in EVM blockchains, including compatibility with Ethereum’s recent Berlin and London forks.
In a detailed interview, Arno Bauer, senior solution architect at BNB Chain, shed light on the specifics of these network upgrades. The Plato upgrade's fast finality mechanism reduces the possibility of chain reorganization, stabilizes block production, and provides immediate access to accurate information from the latest finalized block.
