Blue Origin has announced that Justin Sun, founder of the Tron blockchain, will join one of its upcoming flights on the New Shepard rocket.
Sun secured his seat back in 2021 by bidding $28 million at an auction. At the time, Blue Origin stated that Sun would also select five additional passengers from the Tron community by choosing among individuals holding tokens such as TRX
Based on the company’s usual schedule, the 34th mission is likely to take place within the next few weeks.

This is not the first time Sun has made headlines outside of his work in cryptocurrency. In May, he purchased large amounts of the Official Trump (TRUMP), a meme coin associated with US President Donald Trump, which enabled him to attend a private dinner with the president.
In July, he announced plans to purchase an additional $100 million worth of the TRUMP token.
Meanwhile, the private space company founded by Jeff Bezos has gained attention for its unique passenger lists. In April, an all-women crew flew on New Shepard, including singer Katy Perry, journalist Gayle King, and Jeff Bezos’s fiancée Lauren Sánchez.
The rocket, named after astronaut Alan Shepard, takes passengers on a short trip to the edge of space, which gives them a few minutes of low-gravity experience before returning to Earth.
