With this collaboration, USDT can now be used within LINE’s Mini DApp ecosystem and its self-custodial wallet.

Tether’s CEO, Paolo Ardoino, highlighted that this change will give over 200 million users an easy way to use digital assets in their daily lives. He also said that bringing USDT to Kaia reflects Tether’s aim to increase stablecoin use across Asia and other regions.
Line Next CEO Youngsu Ko stated that this stablecoin integration will help create a "dollar-based gateway". He believes this will make Web3 services more practical and easier to use for people in the region.
Additionally, Sam Seo, chair of the Kaia DLT Foundation, explained that Kaia’s system offers fast transactions and quick finality. He said the goal is to provide a reliable and easy USDT experience across LINE, DeFi apps, and centralized exchanges.
