Haliey Welch, also known as the "Hawk Tuah Girl", has returned to podcasting after months away from the spotlight.

Her Talk Tuah show released its first new episode with YouTuber KSI joining as the first guest.

Welch had kept a low profile following a short-lived crypto project that used her nickname. In December 2024, a Solana SOL $141.66 -based meme coin called HAWK, which Welch promoted, briefly hit a market cap of $490 million before crashing by over 90% within minutes.

KSI, whose full name is Olajide Olayinka Williams Olatunji, shares a similar history with crypto-related criticism. Though the two did not directly mention their past involvement in crypto during the episode, both spoke about facing public pressure and criticism.

Olatunji stated, "I’ve been here for so long I’ve had my ups and my downs and my dooooooowns. You’ve just got to roll with the punches and just stay consistent. In this industry, people are going to use and abuse you".

Welch responded, "I found that out the hard way".

In 2021, Olatunji faced claims that he promoted crypto tokens like XCAD Network and Ethernity Chain and then quickly sold them off. He has denied these accusations.

Welch confirmed that she cooperated in a civil case against those involved in launching the HAWK token. That lawsuit names crypto launchpad overHERE, its founder Clinton So, influencer Alex “Doc Hollywood” Schultz, and the Tuah the Moon Foundation. Welch is not being sued in that case.
