The launch of SHIB: The Metaverse by the end of 2023 represents an exciting step forward for the SHIB ecosystem.
SHIB: The Metaverse developers declared on Monday their intention to launch their innovative project, which expands the Shiba Inu (SHIB) ecosystem, by December 2023.
The new project will include 100,595 land plots available for users to mint. It is worth noting that landowners will be able to gather in-game resources, rewards, and even passive income.

In the April 10th update, the project's developers acknowledged the lengthy development process. However, the team assured users that SHIB fans would have access to select areas within the Metaverse by the year's end.
In particular, the developers noted:
While all development takes time, the MV team is confident that by the end of 2023, users will have the opportunity to explore some of the areas in this fantastic world, build, design, play, and develop within it. However, it should be noted that not all areas of the Metaverse will be fully completed as it is an ongoing project.
Based on the update, the developers plan to allow users to earn and oversee their projects within dedicated spaces in the Metaverse.
In this virtual world, users will have a chance to create personalized humanoid dog avatars, which will be used to explore, engage with, and visit lands while contributing to the in-game economy.
The Metaverse will be developed using Shibarium, an upcoming Layer-2 network that employs Shiba ecosystem tokens, such as Bone (BONE) and Leash (LEASH). It is worth noting that the testnet for Shibarium is currently ongoing.
As the developers continue to work towards project completion, users can anticipate an immersive virtual experience offering opportunities for interaction, innovation, and earning within the Shiba Inu ecosystem.
