Sean "P Diddy" Combs, the rapper and record producer currently facing serious criminal accusations, has hired the attorney of FTX founder Sam Bankman-Fried.
The two are reportedly held in the same section of a New York jail designated for detainees who require special protection, with both now represented by Alexandra Shapiro.
Combs was arrested on September 16 on multiple charges, including racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking. He's working with Shapiro to fight his detention after a judge refused his $50 million bail offer. She is also appealing Bankman-Fried's prison sentence.

The charges against Combs have shocked many in the music industry. He is accused of running a criminal network, with allegations ranging from organizing exploitative "freak-off" parties to involvement in crimes like forced labor, arson, kidnapping, and bribery.
The case is being prosecuted by the US Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York.
Bankman-Fried, often referred to by his initials SBF, was arrested in 2022 on fraud charges related to the collapse of the FTX cryptocurrency exchange. Investors and customers of the platform suffered huge losses, and Bankman-Fried was handed a 25-year sentence in April this year.
With Shapiro now representing both men, the next steps in their legal battles could take interesting turns.
