Fans can now use crypto to pay for their single-game suite in the Houston Texans game.
Houston Texans, National Football League’s (NFL) team that plays in American Football Conference’s South group, is the first NFL team to sell a single-game suite with cryptocurrency.
Earlier Houston Texans announced its partnership with cryptocurrency wallet and exchange BitWallet. It is because of this deal that the fans are able to purchase suites using cryptocurrencies.

According to the announcement shared on August 16th, the fans are set to use BitWallet as an intermediary, which converts cryptocurrency to U.S. dollars. Talking about this partnership, Houston Texans president Greg Grissom said:
We are proud to partner with BitWallet to offer an exciting option for our fans who are looking to enjoy Texans gameday in one of our suites. BitWallet is a perfect collaborator as we continue our efforts to move our organization forward in new and innovative ways.
The official announcement notes that fans have already participated in purchasing a suite. Houston-based digital marketing agency, EWR Digital, has purchased a single-game suite. This is the first time in the history of sports that a suit was purchased using cryptocurrency. However, the information about the price of the suite or the game that it was purchased is not disclosed.
Based on the information published on the website, the prices for a single game suite range from $12,500 to $25,000, depending on the opponent and the date of the game. The group of fans that purchase the suite tickets gets access to VIP parking, food and drinks, private attendant, and VIP entrance.
BitWallet CEO John T. Perrone, when talking about this partnership, notes:
Digital currency has become a primary means of payment and by partnering with BitWallet, the Texans are leading the way in the NFL. I am honored that BitWallet is the first to offer Texans fans this service.
The crypto wallet and exchange claim that it is supported in around 160 countries, allowing users to hold and trade Bitcoin (BTC).
This is not the first time NFL teams have made connections with crypto-related firms. Back in April, The Dallas Cowboys signed a long-term partnership deal with Blockchain.com.
Moreover, some NFL players are more than happy to receive a part of their salary or “contract bonuses” in crypto, including Trevor Lawrence, Aaron Rodgers, and Tom Brady.
