Ethereum’s
The project, shared in a blog post by Ethereum Foundation’s Nicolas Consigny, proposes a developer-friendly toolkit and an example wallet built to highlight these privacy tools.
The Kohaku framework is designed as a collection of privacy and security tools, meant to help developers build safer wallets. One of its key parts is a software development kit (SDK) that enables the creation of privacy-focused wallet features.

Alongside the SDK, a sample wallet, initially released as a browser extension, will show how these tools can be used. This extension is based on the Ambire wallet and is intended for users who prefer more control over their transactions and information.
Several teams from the Ethereum community are helping develop Kohaku, including Ambire, Railgun, DeFi Wonderland, Helios, and Oblivious Labs. The project is open source, and developers can take part by contributing to the code available on GitHub.
Kohaku plans to support private transactions, hide IP addresses, and allow each DApp to have its own separate account. Peer-to-peer transaction broadcasting will also be included to avoid using the usual RPC servers, which often gather user data.
Additionally, Kohaku will add options like ZK Email and Anon Aadhaar. These tools allow users to verify identity or recover accounts without exposing personal information.
Recently, the Ethereum Foundation created a new team, called the "Privacy Cluster". What does it do? Read the full story.
