Head of Research at Crypto.com Henry Hon spoke on the partnership with CMU, stating:

"We are hoping to enhance the security of our blockchain through learning and collaborating with experts. In 2022, CMU ranked first in the specialty areas of artificial intelligence and cybersecurity. Cybersecurity is very relevant to the blockchain industry."

Elaine Shi, who is an Associate Professor at CMU’s Computer Science Department, highlighted the funding received by Crypto.com, which will help the university’s  Secure Blockchain Initiative to "expand its research and educational programs on blockchains."
