Uniswap Labs shared a teaser on X on January 2, a simple image of the year “2025” with the caption “v4 is coming soon”. However, no specific release date was mentioned.

Uniswap v4 promises to bring important changes to the platform. One key feature is the introduction of Hooks, which lets developers add custom functionality to trades. This will enable advanced tools like limit orders, fee customization, and automated liquidity management.

On December 31, 2024, the team shared plans for an eventful year, mentioning, “Between v4, Unichain, and a few other surprises... it's going to be a very pink year”.
