The Consumer Electronics Show will Feature Samsung’s Blockchain Developments

As the research and development for the metaverse grow bigger, large tech companies like Samsung are diving into blockchain-driven devices which will be showcased in the upcoming Consumer Electronics Show.

The CES showcase event is held every year, and features the biggest tech companies in the industry such as Amazon, NVIDIA, Samsung, etc. It is set to start today, on January 5th, at the Las Vegas Convention Center, and will run until Saturday, January 8th.

CES 2022 will host over 2k different companies that will showcase their upcoming products. The newest additions to the show will be crypto, blockchain, and NFT platforms such as FTX, Blockparty, and Atomic Form.

Likewise, the event will be hosting the "Decrypting Crypto" conference on the first day, featuring big players in the crypto industry, where experts will talk about the current state of cryptocurrencies and their integration into traditional businesses.

The cast will be the CEO of Transform Ventures Michael Terpin, Tushar Nadkarni who will represent the crypto financing platform Celsius Network, the Executive Director of the Blockchain Association Kristin Smith, and Clara Tsao who is the Founding Director of Filecoin Foundation - a storage network built on blockchain technologies.

With cryptocurrencies potentially being even more prevalent than in 2021, the showroom will be a great chance for blockchain-focused tech companies and crypto platforms to bring awareness to their brands, and introduce people to blockchain technologies.

Samsung has previously announced its new collection of Smart TVs with NFT compatibility, which will be showcased at CES, and many believe that other big corporations from other sectors will, sooner or later, fall in with the metaverse hype.

Tech researcher Maribel Lopez, in an interview with the Wall Street Journal, stated that while the metaverse is a completely fresh concept, the growing blockchain industry shows clear signs of development. Therefore, an exciting, new technology such as this is destined to be featured in such a showroom, because "that’s kind of what CES is about."
